The Washington My Health My Data Act (the “Washington Act”) provides Washington residents with certain rights related to consumer health data. However, the Washington Act does not apply to legal entities that are covered by the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”). Because your consumer health data is already protected by HIPAA, the Washington Act does not apply to your information.
